I don't know how this happened, but it's pretty funny!

[She picks up a large boulder, peeks under it, then carefully sets it back down.]

Sorry, creepy-crawlies. Didn't mean to frighten you.

Hey! My backpack is gone!

[The visor of the mask opens and Rain's face appears, peering around worriedly.]

All my things - all my everythings - are in it. I hope someone has it, I really, really need it back, okay?


[ooc: Yes, Rain is in the Iron Man suit.]

Yeah. It's the only place I've ever been where most everyone was nice to me.

And I've been to more places than I think anyone can even count.

I know a lot of people are afraid they'll never get home from here, but I'm mostly afraid I will.

[The smile makes her relax a little, but she still looks a bit as if she might bolt at any minute.]

[Cat's smile turns a little sheepish. Why, yes, she's feeling guilty for disliking that Tony and Rain talk so much and that Tony's so nice to Rain.

And just for the record? Cat is sitting so that only her head and nothing else is visible over the screen. No way she's showing anyone what she's wearing.]

Well... I was mostly a street kid for starters and nearly everyone thinks they're just trouble.

And I... well... I can sort of hear what people are thinking. Don't worry! I try really, really hard not to listen, but sometimes I just hear things anyway. And, and I wasn't always so good at hiding it or stopping it.

And sometimes I know things that are going to happen.

It scares people sometimes. Or makes them hate you.

[Cat looks away for a moment, a sad expression on her face.]

People are scared of what they don't know or don't understand.

[She rubs at her face, then laughs when the gloves hit the faceplate instead.]

[ooc: And yes, Rain does tend to forget that Tony and Iron Man are the same. They're very separate to her. And she does have a bit of a crush on Iron Man, though not on Tony. Not that she has any expectations or hopes, because despite people's kindness here, she can't imagine that anyone would ever care for her that way, nor that she'd ever deserve it.]
