043: A Walk in the Woods
I went out in the woods today to try and find the perfect tree to decorate with food for the animals. I didn't actually do much looking, though. I followed a trail through the woods down to a river and then followed the river for quite a while.
Then I saw some squirrels - I swear they were playing tag! One would run up and brush the other and then take off and the other would tear after him. It was so funny! I watched them for a while, then I got distracted watching the crows. Did you know that at sunset they all gather together? They come from all directions, swirling and cawing and making a sort of a black cloud until finally they all settle down for the evening. It's so beautiful!
Of course, by then it was dark, so I headed off back home. It took a little longer because I wasn't quite sure where I was, but oh, still, it was wonderful. The stars and the moon shone down through the leaves of the trees and the wind made it sound like they were talking to me. I don't think I could have stood to go indoors away from them if I hadn't known I could still see them through my roof.
Now I'm going to curl up with a cup of tea and a book and the tiniest of lights so I can still see everything.

And they are often quite wonderful.
And now I'm blushing!

You... when I'm with you... I forget what I am and I feel special a little and happy that you think I'm pretty.

But some hunters don't like them because they warn the animals that hunters are around.

But they're good to me. They greet me each morning or when they see me coming and they're beautiful.
