018: Unhappy

I did not like yesterday.

It was sad and scary and all the everything hurt my head.

I didn't even look at the network because it was Not Good.

I hope everyone I care about is okay and I hope today is nicer.

I'm at the Library.

The woods were Not Good yesterday.

I didn't even sleep on the roof. I hid all the way where there were no windows or anything.

Rain changed quickly into her heavier clothes, grabbed the helmet and made her way up to the roof to wait for him.

Tony was there a moment later, lowering himself down onto the roof where she was waiting. He had a lot to do today and considered sending the suit remotely but he always liked being in it when he was with Rain.

"Hello, Rain. It's good to see you again."

She could feel all of herself relax and wasn't even aware of the relieved smile that spread over her face. "Iron Man. I'm so happy to see you!"

"I"m happy to see you too," Tony said, grinning behind the mask. Sometimes he wondered if Rain was acting when she pretended Tony and Iron Man were different people or if she did see them as separate.

"Don't I get a hug?" he asked, opening his arms wide.

She ran at him and threw her arms around him tightly. "You can have as many hugs as you like!"

Tony hugged her lightly back and spun her around a bit, laughing.

"I want one at least every time we meet," he told her before setting her down.

She tilted her head to look up at him seriously and listen. "I do," she said almost in wonder. "I'm not used to people feeling thatway."

Tony wished there was some way that she could see him smile through the helmet, although he guessed that she could probably tell.

"It's alright," he said, chuckling a bit and leaning down to press his forehead to hers, the most intimate gesture he could manage at the moment.

She closed her eyes, letting herself reach out to his thoughts even as her forehead pressed against his, and wondered if she pushed hard enough if he could feel how content and happy she was. And tried.

Tony's eyes went wide for a moment as he felt something almost... tickle in his head.

"You're happy and content right now, aren't you?" he asked as he moved the shins from his armor onto Rain.
