024: No Blood?

I'm cursed today, I know I am, I can feel it.

But I have no blood on me. I was sure I would.

I don't understand.

I... it makes my head hurt to try and think about it.

I'm going up to the roof of the Library. Maybe the wind and the sun will make my head feel better.

I wonder if on days you switch powers the person that gets yours will be able to tell they're cursed. I'll have to find them if that curse comes back around, just to ask.

Oh, I don't know if I have powers exactly. It's not like I'm special like some of the people here. Just... sometimes I can hear what people are thinking and sometimes I know what's going to happen.

I wonder if other people with extraordinary abilities also don't think of them as special. I don't really see my own as special.

At first they were annoying and aggravating. Now days they're just useful and convenient. I know they're not normal, at least.

I have wings, for a start. Can fly because of them. Err...blew out some windows once when I didn't know how to control my astral abilities. Ended up in my friend's jail cell while I was asleep. And I can shoot out energy balls, amongst other things, and probably things I don't even know.

I liked being human, normal, better. But this way? I don't have to be too wary of my enemies in the City.

It is, in more ways than one, but I think it's worth the cost of being able to protect myself and the people I care about.
